Significant measures are being introduced to harmonise EU data protection and give individuals control over their personal data, but does your business really understand what is required to effectively comply with GDPR standards?

GDPR has been the subject of many a fraught discussion, and from 25 May 2018 the penalty for breaching this strict regulation can amount to a fine of up to 4% of turnover.

Over the next 12 months BDB will be looking at some of the practical issues that organisations need to address in order to prepare for the GDPR. We will consider a different issue each month: from appointing a Data Protection Officer to carrying out Privacy Impact Assessments; from new obligations on data processors to managing cyber security.

Bookmark this page or register with us by emailing gdpr@bdb-law.co.uk for your regular GDPR update on the first of the month every month. Get GDPR ready with BDB.
