Victoria advises individuals, trustees and institutional landowners on matters relating to the management of their rural property holdings including sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant issues, Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies, mortgage financing and re-financing, shooting and other sporting rights, rights relating to access and boundary queries.

She also assists with the preparation of promotion, option and other development agreements on behalf of farmers and landowners. Victoria has considerable experience in dealing with telecommunications leases on behalf of landowners.

Victoria deals with clients whose transactions have tax consequences and so work closely with the tax Trusts and estate planning team in relation to capital tax planning.

Victoria has a particular interest in listed buildings and dealing with unregistered land. She has a keen eye for detail and enjoys going to look at the land she is dealing with.

Victoria is included in the Citywealth Top 100 Future Leaders list 2018.

Career highlights

  • Acting in the sale of a country estate in Hampshire subject to various residential, commercial and agricultural tenancies for nearly £35 million
  • Acting in the purchase of a farm in Oxfordshire for £9 million, part of which was subject to a commercial lease
  • Acting for a Landed Estate in its lease of a listed clock tower requiring various works to allow the tenant to use it as an art gallery
  • Acting in the purchase of a Grade II listed house with a medieval folly from an off-shore company
  • Acting for a landed estate in the registration of a large stretch of foreshore in the West Country
