Siân heads the Family Team. She qualified at Bircham Dyson Bell and became a partner in 1998. She has been acting for clients on a full range of family matters since 1991.

Siân has particular experience in advising in divorce cases involving more than one possible country jurisdiction and clients with complex financial arrangements often involving assets in more than one country or in long established trust structures. Siân also advises couples entering marriage or a relationship on the terms of a pre-nuptial agreement, pre-civil partnership agreements or co-habitation agreements.

From an agricultural background, Siân has a particular interest in advising clients with landed or sporting estates and farms around the country.

She has advised on paternity disputes and the full range of issues involving children including disputes over their education, names, religion, medical care and where they should live. She has also advised in international children disputes.

Siân also advises clients involved in inquests and other general civil litigation disputes.

Siân has appeared on Radio 4 Woman’s Hour and Sky News. She also regularly deals with the media.

Siân enjoys country pursuits, travelling to unusual parts of the world and driving sports cars.

Career Highlights

  • Siân was the lead partner for the reported case of Robson –v- Robson (2010 EWCA CIV 1171>) which concerned inherited wealth and landed estates and N –v- N (2012 EW8C 4282 FAM).
