Nicola is the knowhow lawyer for the Charities and Social Enterprise team, responsible for knowledge management on charity-related matters.

Nicola has extensive knowledge and experience across the charities field, which she brings to bear both within the firm and in numerous sector groups and working parties.

Nicola also has broad experience of charity and trust litigation matters.

Nicola became the Chair of the Charity Law Association in October 2016. She has been on the Association’s Executive Committee since 2008 and, in that time, has chaired and assisted on numerous working parties to respond to relevant consultations, including chairing the working party in response to the Law Commission’s consultation, Technical Issues in Charity Law.  She has regularly been part of the team responsible for organising the annual conference and spoken at Association events.

Nicola is also the BDB representative for meetings, events and working parties for the Charity Tax Group.

Nicola is ranked in band 1 for her charity knowledge in the Chambers and Partners 2017 edition. She is also noted as a leading individual in Legal 500 2016.
