Hugo joined Bircham Dyson Bell in 2001 and was made a partner in 2011. He specialises in estate and tax planning, acting principally for wealthy UK families and their trustees, often owning private family businesses or landed estates and heritage property. He is a trustee of a number of family trusts. He also acts for international clients and trust companies, with a niche practice advising on the structuring of Shari’a compliant asset holding vehicles for Middle Eastern clients. He co-heads the firms Art and Cultural Property Group.
