I qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and now practise in Bircham Dyson Bell’s Government and Infrastructure department on a part-time basis. I advise on public law matters, such as vires (i.e. powers and duties), regulatory arrangements and drafting legislation and amendments. I am co-author of our Great Repeal Bill blog. I also advise on promoting, or objecting to, major infrastructure projects, particularly highway works, utility diversions (eg protective provisions, NRSWA), open space and compulsory purchase. I also advise on rights of way and town and village green matters.
