Susan co-heads the Art and Cultural Property Group and is a member of the Private Wealth team. She advises on capital taxes particularly in relation to estate tax planning for UK and non UK domiciled individuals and also advises trustees on UK tax and a wide range of other issues. She has particular experience in advising clients on tax issues relating to art.
Susan joined the firm from Moore Stephens where she headed the Trusts and Estates Team within Private Client Services from 2011, and specialised in international estate planning for high net worth individuals (HNWIs). Prior to joining Moore Stephens she headed the Heritage and Taxation Advisory Service at Christie’s where she advised clients on a wide range of taxation and other issues in connection with works of art.
Susan is the author of the chapter on Heritage Property and Conditional Exemption in STEP Administration of Estates. She contributes to private client journals and frequently speaks at conferences.
