Institute of Fundraising and BDB publish new guide, GDPR: the Essentials for Fundraising Organisations
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will come into force in the UK on 25 May 2018, replacing the current data protection regime and introducing new data protection duties for organisations. It may be over a year away, but charities should be looking now at what changes they should put in place to be confident they are compliant in May 2018.
BDB is pleased to partner with the Institute of Fundraising in launching a new guide – GDPR: the Essentials for Fundraising Organisations. This short guide aims to be a starting-point to the key questions and areas to consider now and to highlight where you can go for further guidance.
