Bircham Dyson Bell further strengthens Cambridge office with double appointment

Leading law firm, Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB), is pleased to announce that it has further expanded its Corporate and Commercial Team in Cambridge with the appointment of Partner, Duncan Walker.
Duncan’s appointment follows the recent hire of James Stephen, who joined BDB’s Corporate and Commercial Team in Cambridge from Penningtons Manches.
The second new appointment to the Cambridge office is Emma-Jayne Sheehan who joins as a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Team from Miller Sands Solicitors.
Duncan Walker’s expertise spans the full remit of corporate law and commercial matters, from fundraising and commercial contracts to sales and acquisitions. Duncan has a wealth of direct industry experience having held a number of in-house positions in investment banking and financial services, most recently with Barclays Global Investors where he was a Managing Director and responsible for legal and regulatory affairs across Europe. Duncan has a strong reputation in the Cambridge area having co-founded Walker Wallis which successfully merged with Greenwoods Solicitors in 2012.
Emma-Jayne Sheehan has over 17 years of experience in all aspects of residential property. Emma-Jayne has particular expertise in acting for buyers and sellers of high value leasehold and freehold transactions. She has also been heavily involved in several new build developments having been recommended by one of the large national developers to act for their buyers.
BDB expanded into Cambridge in January of this year with the acquisition of the King & Wood Mallesons’ Real Estate Team based there.
