Experience

Neil is an associate in the Real Estate department and joined the firm in 2006. Having practised in commercial property sector since qualification in 2003, he has a wide range of commercial property expertise to draw on. In particular Neil acts extensively on the following transactions for the following clients:

Network Rail - in respect of acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold land, drafting and negotiating leases of commercial premises being granted or acquired by Network Rail as well deeds of easements and the disposal of Network Rail land pursuant to statutory powers e.g. transfer of subsoil to facilitate the undergrounding of HV cables within the main Olympics site.

Docklands Light Railway Limited - in respect of acquisition of land, subsoil, airspace, easements and covenants pursuant to statutory powers for the London City Airport extension, the Stratford International extension, the Woolwich Arsenal extension and the ancillary Woolwich Town Centre regeneration project which involves exhaustive title investigation of registered and unregistered land and interests to be acquired.

Esso Petroleum Company Limited - primarily in relation to its retail network and with a substantial focus on an ongoing programme of divestment of former service station sites, which involves the negotiation of complex sale contracts and transfer deeds and acting on general property management issues, including licences, easements and covenants.

Neil also acts for developers in the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold land and for commercial landlords and tenants on the disposal, grants and management of leasehold interests.
