Experience
Garvey qualified as solicitor in September 2003, joined Bircham Dyson Bell as an associate in 2008 and was promoted to senior associate in 2011.
Garvey advises on all aspects of employment law and has substantial experience in the Employment Tribunals and is regularly instructed on high value cases and to prosecute and defend discrimination claims. His general contentious experiences includes unfair dismissal, breach of contract, flexible-working and protected disclosure claims. His non-contentious practice includes advising on redundancies, restructuring and the employment aspects of corporate transactions, as well as drafting contracts of employment and contractual and non-contractual employment policies and procedures.
Garvey regularly provides client seminars and has lectured on a wide range of employment law issues. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers' Association and the City of Westminister and Holborn Law Society.
