Christopher Findley

Head of Agriculture

Experience

Christopher has lived on agricultural estates for most of his life and is an excellent advisor to landowners and those with farming interests.  One of his key strengths is explaining complex legal issues, giving simple, practical advice and solutions to everyday, and often once-in-a-lifetime, problems encountered by farmers, landowners and their families.

He deals with buying and selling land, landlord and tenant problems and tenancy restructuring, as well as advising tenants and landlords on tax-related land issues. He has developed an unrivalled working knowledge of farm business tenancy legislation, which he helped to develop and draft, as well as European issues including the mid-term review of farm income support payments.

Christopher also sits on the Country Landowners Association Legal and Property Rights Sub-Committee helping to advise on new legislation and legal problems of national concern.  This role allows him to give update seminars to farming groups, organisations and land agents, and he regularly attends agricultural shows to offer legal clinics.
