Bircham Dyson Bell has been reappointed to the legal panel advising English Heritage. Led by planning partner Mark Challis, the Bircham Dyson Bell team will focus on planning and environmental issues.
Bircham Dyson Bell was initially appointed to the legal panel in 2006 and since then their team has advised English Heritage on a number of high profile cases including its recent successful opposition to the proposed Elizabeth House development, which involved the construction of three tall buildings adjacent to Waterloo Station.
Commenting on the firm’s reappointment Mike Harlow, Legal Director of English Heritage, said:
“We are delighted to re-appoint Bircham Dyson Bell to the panel for planning matters. Through the tender process they demonstrated they have an excellent understanding of planning for heritage conservation and that they have the right expertise on offer at the right price.”
Client relationship partner Mark Challis commented;
Few clients can provide such interesting, varied and important work as English Heritage. We are delighted to have been reappointed to the Panel and the team at BDB looks forward to continuing to work alongside the lawyers at English Heritage in the years ahead.
The new panel will run for a period of three years.
