The New Policy Agenda! Breakfast Briefing with Dermot Finch, Centre for Cities

Date:
4 Jun 2010 - 8:00am - 9:30am
Venue:
Bircham Dyson Bell, 50 Broadway, London SW1H 0BL

The event will be the first in a series of breakfast seminars taking a look at the new policy agenda under the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition Government, in particular how we can expect the administration to develop policy and how they will manage the tough decisions that need to be taken in the immediate future.

Dermot has been with Centre for Cities since its inception in 2005.  The organisation produces practical research on the economic drivers of urban growth and change, and policy solutions for Whitehall, cities and business.  Dermot is widely quoted in the national and specialist press, and keeps a well-informed blog.    Previously, Dermot was a senior policy adviser at HM Treasury, including three years at the British Embassy in Washington DC and two years as a private secretary in both of Ken Clarke and Gordon Brown's ministerial teams.  His range of Treasury policy responsibilities included financial services, the euro, productivity, enterprise and cities.

Registration for the breakfast will commence at 8.00 am, the meeting at 8.30 am and the proceedings will finish by no later than 9.30 am, being held at our offices at 50 Broadway, London SW1H 0BL (opposite St James's Park Underground Station).  The session will be strictly held under the Chatham House rule.
